What RWAs of Delhi say !

Dear Mr. Vohra ji,

Your painstaking and consistent efforts are commendable! You had taken in the past and continue to take all pertinent and vital problems of Delhi time and again and expose the Govt. agencies concerned. We appreciate and accolade the efforts! But to what result so far? May you explain and clarify to the aam aadmi the outcome of all your stupendous task undertaken so far and to what result. True a lone voice will not do. Notwithstanding we solid and steadfastly support all your initiative in various spheres. In fact you are the most suitable person to stand for election from our constituency and get elected with our support so that you could voice our grievances in a more effective and efficient way to pave way for solutions!

True Delhi is becoming the most polluted city in the world. But have we ever thought who are responsible for all this calamity and problems! We, the people of Delhi, who damn care for others but to themselves! How many vehicles are being added daily to our roads and how many vehicles each family possess creating untold problems for parking and other attended problems. All this and more lead to pollution. What the Govt. could do? Can they impose a restriction on the registration of vehicles or enforce a discipline like at Singapore or Tokyo? BOLD NO! Then what do you expect!

Delhi is becoming for all notorious  and undesirable activities e.g. rampant crime, sexual assault, street fighting, parking, water and electricity problems etc. It is a problem galore! Has the Govt. thought of regulating anything and impose severe punishment on defaulters and those committing such crimes! A BIG NO!  The Police Department is most corrupt and indisciplined and punish those who are law-abiding and others escape through various nefarious means! Are they able to control and regulate traffic or arrest the thefts except paying their meticulous attention in arranging to collect their 'hafta' regularly from those who are struggling for their livelihood and survival. They are becoming slaves to these brutes! They have enforced all the RWAs to install CCTV at their cost but how many have been detected and arrested through this source! In front of all schools and hospitals' premises a large number of vehicles are parked on the main roads impeding smooth flow of traffic. Have they ever taken pains to solve this problem on a long term basis? BIG NO!

There is a total ban on erecting Mobile towers in residential colonies. But it is growing unabated. Have they ever tried to stop or demolish them! There is no parking space for vehicles but have the agencies concerned attempted to remove the encroachments and kitchen gardens in front of the houses! Parks are supposed to be maintained well for the benefit of residents. Have the agencies concerned done any job in this sphere! There are innumerable problems to cite! Have the agencies concerned acted to prevent them and stop proliferation further. Take the case of building contractors. They are law unto themselves. Where from they get water for construction purposes? By paying a hefty amount to the Police etc. to strike borewell unauthorisedly as there is a total ban on this score. The answer is BIG NO!

Where to fight and with whom! All elected representatives have made tall promises! Have they fulfilled in the true sense of the term except obliging their own 'chamchas'! We have reached a stage when people are fed up and bearing on all these and more onslaughts patiently as they have lost their patience and bidding their time to reach heaven as they don't the strength and sinews to fight with the authorities concerned! Suffice to say all the above for the time being as I don't wish to add anything more for the time being!!!

With deep regards,

TK Balu/Anand Vihar
