RWAs views on the announcement made by CM :

Dear Mr. Vohra ji,

We cannot but commend your consistent efforts on all fronts to look after the interest and welfare of all residents in East Delhi! Your mailing system of uptodate news and views and publicity and keeping in touch with all affiliates etc. are praiseworthy and admirable. Your indefatigable energy and unlimited and boundless enthusiasm in all matters are unexceptionable indeed! These are not mere hyperbole but true to the letter and spirit!!

We heartily welcome the munificence of our Hon'ble CM of extending financial assistance to the RWAs which could be very profitably utilized for the welfare and security of the residents without doubt. In fact our Society had taken various steps to ensure the security and safety of residents in the present of adverse atmosphere of insecurity, albeit the subject is more concerned with the Police authorities rather burdening the residents but when the former has no means and wherewithal for the purpose excepting providing the same to VVIPs etc. where 'aam aadmi' are left to fend for themselves, by providing gates and presently engaged in installing CCTVs (the craze of the season on the recommendation of the Police authorities) at all vulnerable points, despite their efficacy which is questionable. All this and more involve lot of expenditure which has to be met on eking out of the sum from all residents who abode in different colonies. This little sum will be of great help to minimize the expenditure to some extent. But this has to be channelized properly in a total transparent manner which is of very vital importance. You may kindly recall that similar announcement was made a few months back at a forum by the Hon'ble CM but nothing concrete has taken shape. We wish and hope that this will also vanish in thin air when the monsoon is in full swing and thus becomes an election stunt to lure the voters! Let's see how this august announcement takes shape and implemented without any strings attached. Pl. follow it up and let all know what procedure to be adopted to derive this benefit by the RWAs. This will be a great service from you in enlightening the RWAs as to how to proceed further and to whom to approach.

With best regards,

TK Balu/RBECHS/Anand Vihar

Pl guide us. Idea of CM is good but amount is very less to maintain the hole security systems and hi tech facilities . Amount should be depend on the area of the society / colony and facilities required by the peoples.

All the RWAs are now requested to kindly take advantage of the announcements of the CM and send their demand for improvement in their colony in getting the assured sum of Rs. One lakh, however kindly inform if possible where to apply,  to the SDM or the Bhagidari Cell of Delhi Govt., it is not clarified.  Your reply will help the RWAs to directly claim for the amount without wastage of time.

Only God knows if the information regarding one lakh rupees to each RWA is a news item or something in real and  will hold good.  Thanks for the information.

Its an excellent proposal however accessing Rs. 1 Lakh for the society should be simplified. In light of the good governance money could be directly transferred to the society account. Women headed president of the society should be given added incentives.

Bhagidari is the most prestigious project of Delhi Govt & we the RWAs of Delhi have always appreciated the efforts of Delhi Govt in promoting Bhagidari amongst RWAs of Delhi. In my personal opinion, instead of providing money to the RWAs, Delhi Govt must issue instructions, that, work of RWAs ( of any quantum ), must be done by the authorities at the first go.
