Letter to DERC

Dated: 8-11-2011

The Secretary,
DERC,
Malviya Nagar,
New Delhi.

Subject: Public Notice inviting Objections/Suggestions on Draft MYT Regulation 2012 to 2015.

Dear Sir,

Even earlier we were called by your office on the name of Public Hearings but we are sorry to say that inspite of various objections raised by us, as well by our fellow RWAs, nothing suitable happened & the public was crushed under the weight of 22% rise in the power tariff.

All of our objections as submitted earlier, are still there. Veracity of figures as shown in various annexures on DISCOM websites, was the main cause of concern for us.

OUR MAIN OBJECTIONS NOW :

1. When the CM has agreed for CAG Audit, why DISCOM's are not waiting for the CAG report ?

2. How the NDPL is able to supply the Power at almost half the prices to the New Delhi area ?

3. Why such a discrimination in the prices for two different sections of people in the same city ?

4. Why can't we take a connection from NDPL to safeguard our pockets ?

OUR REQUEST TO CM, DERC, DISCOM's :

Let the CAG report come & let the CAG decide about the future course of Power Tariff. Till than not even a single paisa should be increased & till than even the hike of 22% must be rolled back.

We have high hopes that DERC will look into the objections raised by the RWA community & will work in the Public interest.

Thanks & Regards

B S Vohra
