Prostate Disease awareness programme : KNWS

Prostate Disease awareness programme is an awareness compaign launched by Urological Society of India. Dr. Narmada Prasad Gupta, HOD, AIIMS Urological Dept., is the President of the society. Krishna nagar welfare society arranged a Lecture for Educating the General public about this disease, in which Dr. Anil Goyal, explained in depth about the symptoms & impact of the prostatic problem.















The most common problem being faced by men above 40 is the enlargement of Prostate gland. It is being said that 17% of males above 50 years & 35% of males above 70 years have prostatic symptoms. The symptoms include Freequent urination especially at nights, No control on urination, Less than normal flow of urine or weak urinary stream, Terminal dribbling, etc. It can be controlled by medicines or by an operation normally known as Gadood operation. If not treated on time, it can turn into CA Prostate i.e. Prostate cancer, which is the fourth most common cancer all over the world. Therefore, everyone who has symptoms of prostatic problem must immediately contact a Urologist.
















Another Lecture by Dr. Anil Goyal is being arranged by the RWABhagidari Blog for educating the public about this disease & a camp for routine check up is also being organised very soon. Details of the lecture will be intimated through this blog as well by posters.
